Chautauqua Institution:

Center for the arts, located 10 mi. south of I 90 on rte 394 on Chautauqua Lake. Chautauqua celebrates its 125 anniversary in 1999. For this period it has made its mark in US history by bringing its visitors thought provoking lectures on public policy, religion, the arts. Its purpose is to enrich the mind, body and soul through a variety of activities for every age level.

Lake Chautauqua....
Just 7 minutes south of Lake Erie on Rte 394 is this beautiful 23 mile lake which helps define Chautauqua County. It is the recreational playground for thousands in the summer and haven for the hearty ice fishermen in the winter months.
